CAROTENOID COMPLEX™ CURBS OXIDATION DAMAGE TO CELLS BY 44%***Published and presented at the Experimental Meeting of Biologists, Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, Washington, DC, 1996 Findings: Carotenoid Complex™ prevented the oxidation of cellular lipids, causing a 44% decrease in oxidation. CAROTENOID COMPLEX™ HELPS PROTECT AGAINSTHEART DISEASE**** Published by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Research Group at the Human Nutritional Research Center in San Francisco, California, 1996 Findings: Carotenoid Complex™ protects the LDL (“bad”) cholesterol from oxidation. LDL oxidation has been linked to increased plaque on artery walls which can eventually lead to cardiovascular disease. In 20 days, those supplementing with three capsules of Carotenoid Complex™ had a 500% increase in carotenoid content in their LDL which helped protect from oxidation. This finding is significant because LDL oxidation has been shown to be a major cause of heart disease.
